A steel bridge and a skylight are juxtaposed in a composition designed to bring students together in ways they never before had. The architecturally exposed steel elements precisely intersect and engage what had been a remnant courtyard overlooked in a grand university gothic  institution. The project has received national honors from the American Institute of Steel Construction.
